Rebels MC History
Rebels Motorcycle Club was founded in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada in 1968.
The Rebels Motorcycle Club were one of the dominant outlaw motorcycle clubs up until the late 1990s, alongside the Grim Reapers MC (Canada) and Kings Crew MC.
In 1997 the Rebels Edmonton chapter shut down, many members patched over to the Hells Angels.
In 1998 the Rebels Saskatoon Chapter were patched over by the Hells Angels MC.
Although many of the Rebels members patched over to the Hells Angels, there were several more who instead decided to patch over to the Bandidos MC.
In 2004 the Rebels Motorcycle Club were considered as no longer being an active outlaw motorcycle club.

The Rebels Motorcycle had multiple chapters throughout Western Canada. They did not have anychapters based internationally.

Rebels MC Crime / In The Media
1976 – 12 March, 1976. Edmonton, Alberta. 23 Rebels Motorcycle Club members are ambushed by approximately 40 paratroopers from the Canadian Airborne Regiment at the Kingsway Motor Inn, which was known to be a Rebels bar, in Edmonton. The paratroopers were armed with weapons including steel bars, baseball bats, nunchucks and batons and eventually had to retreat as they were overpowered by the Rebels. It is believed that 13 members of the Airborne Regiment required medical attention.
1997– Rebels Edmonton Chapter Secretary-Treasurer Scott Jamieson is arrested on conspiracy charges.
2004 – 30 January, 2004. Rebels former associate Joey “Crazy Horse” Morin (also known as Joey Campbell), along with Robert Charles Simpson are killed in the Saint Pete’s strip club parking lot as they are getting out of Joey Morin’s car. At the time of the murder Joey Morin was a probationary member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club and the Hells Angels were fighting for territory with the Bandidosand itis suspected that Joey Morin and Robert Simpson were planning to establish a Bandidos chapter.

Book – The Rebels: A Brotherhood of Outlaw Bikers by Daniel R Wolf.
A look into the operations of outlaw motorcycle clubs including the tensions between clubs in Canada. The author Daniel Wolf rode with the Rebels Edmonton chapter throughout most of the late 1970s before writing his PHD dissertation on motorcycle culture in 1981. Tragically Daniel Wolf was later killed in a motorcycle accident.
